June 11, 2014. PAKA. Gym. 7 am. Arm-Wresting. A construction worker from Barangay Manook, Ryan Bagasala (wearing a fatigue cap and facing the  camera), ruled the competition. He is shown here in his semifinal bout with Ramil Gonzales from Barangay Ariman

June 11, 2014. GULPI DE GUBAT. Gym. 1:30 pm. An amateur boxing tournament for boxers aged 12-18 years old. Tickets sold for P30.00 each.

June 11, 2014. PISTA SA NAYON. Encinas Pavilion. 7 pm.  A night of merry-making for barangay officials. The picture above shows  a part of the huge crowd that showed up for the festivity.

June 12, 2014. INTERFAITH PRAYER. Encinas Pavilion. 6 am. The leaders of the various religious denominations were invited to say a prayer to open the Independence Day Rites and the Grand Heritage Parade.  Msgr. Francisco P. Monje, parish priest of the St. Anthony of Padua Parish, takes his turn at the lectern.

June 5, 2014. MISS GUBAT 2014. Encinas Pavilion. 7 pm.
